February 15, 2023 - Pile Burning

Mystic fire (central hills) will be lighting two piles this afternoon, approx.. 7.5 miles southeast of Rochford, SD.

February 14, 2023 - Pile Burning

Northern Hills fire crews will be burning piles located to the north and south of Nemo Road and West of Old Ridge Road over the next two weeks, as conditions permit.

February 9, 2023 - Pile Burning

Northern Hills fire is burning piles located south of Terry peak Summit Road on the south side of Highway 85 for the next two weeks, as conditions permit.

Mystic fire (central hills) are planning to ignite North facing slopes dependent on snow and weather conditions in the field, today and tomorrow (2/9-2/10/23).

February 8, 2023 - Pile Burning

Northern Hills fire is burning a pile on Forest service Road 134.2A behind the Spearfish work center.

Northern Hills fire crews will also be looking to burn machine piles on the Pantheon project in the upcoming days, as snow conditions and weather allow. This project is located west of Vanocker Canyon, north and south of Galena Road. 

February 1, 2023 - Pile Burning

• Northern Hills fire will be burning machine and hand piles in Spearfish Canyon (HWY 14 A) today, 2/1/23, between Cheyenne Crossing and Savoy. Smoke will be visible from Hwy 85, Hwy 14 A and the Terry Peak area.

• Bearlodge fire will be burning piles 8 miles South of Hulett, WY. Smoke will be visible from Hwy 24 between Devils Tower and Carlile Junction.
