Black Hills National Forest
- Hell Canyon fire is planning to burn 5 machine piles at the Tepee Work Center and 2 piles at the Custer Work Center today (1/30/23). Smoke & flames may be visible from Hwy 385/16, and in Custer, SD.
- Mystic fire (central hills) is burning slash piles today in the Whitetail, Buck, and Silver Lyons project areas located southeast of Black Fox campground & northwest of Deerfield Reservoir.
- Today - tomorrow, (1/30-1/31/23) Bearlodge fire will be burning piles about 5 miles south of Sundance, WY on the north perimeter of the Fish Fire at the end of Canyon Spring Road. Smoke will be visible from Highway 585. Crews will have heavy equipment on site to tuck and spread piles as needed.
