Hell Canyon fire (southern hills) will be burning 5 machine piles north of Summit Ridge today, 2/25/22.

Northern Hills Ranger District fire is planning to burn approximately 100 hand piles in the Deadwood Fuels project area, off Mount Roosevelt Road (County Road 133), tomorrow (2/23/22), conditions permitting.
Mystic District is planning to burn 12 machine piles in the Whitetail project area approx. 4 miles southwest of Rochford, SD. Smoke will be visible throughout the week and adjacent to the Whitetail Peak area, west of S. Rockford Rd.South Dakota Wildland Fire
The Rapid City District Office is planning to burn approximately 1.5 acres of slash piles 5 miles southwest of Rapid City along Sheridan Lake Road.
Custer State Park
Firefighters will continue to burn slash piles on Wilson's Corner which is located at the intersection of 16A and Needles Highway and near Bluebell Campground.
Black Hills National Forest

Mystic Fire District (Rapid City, SD): will be conducting a pile burn on Bogus Jim Road starting Tuesday, 2/22/2022, for the next several days. Three handpile units along Bogus Jim Road may be burned as conditions permit. Smoke may be visible for several days in the Green Mountain Subdivision after ignitions.
Mystic will be burning machine piles, approx. 3 miles NW of Deerfield Reservoir and piles adjacent to the Flag Mountain area, west of Reynolds Prairie. Smoke will be visible throughout the week.
The Hot Springs District Office will be burning 40 piles 3/4 mile southwest of Hot Springs in the Country Club Estates area. Smoke may be visible in the area for several days. Firefighters will continue to monitor as appropriate.
Custer State Park
Firefighters are planning on burning approximately 20 acres of slash piles on Wilson's Corner which is located at the intersection of 16A and Needles Highway. If conditions permit they will also plan on burning approximately 8 acres of slash piles near the Bluebell Lodge Campground.
