Aristocrat Fire Initial Response

The Aristocrat Fire was reported at 10:38 am on Friday, August
28. It is burning on Nebraska National Forest lands, near the Spotted Tail
Trailhead, south of Chadron, NE. Initial reports estimate the fire to be over
200 acres. Forest Service, Nebraska Game & Parks Commission, and Volunteer Fire Department
resources are responding. A single engine aircraft tanker (SEAT), heavy air
tanker, and a helicopter are assisting firefighters suppressing the Aristocrat Fire.
