- The Playhouse Fire was called 100% contained at 4:00 pm on Saturday, Feb 18
- Has been turned over to Custer State Park Field Office for patrol and final check

- The Playhouse Fire is now 35% contained
- Cause has been determined to be escaped burn piles

- Due to more accurate mapping, the fire size is 24.03 acres

- Located 1/2 mile north of Center Lake in Custer State Park
- Estimated size is 30 acres and was reported around midnight
- Local and South Dakota Wildland Fire resources have responded overnight along with a privately owned dozer
- Additional resources are responding this morning to include Forest Service, Department of Corrections Handcrews, and both the state Black Hat and Bear Mountain Handcrews for a full suppression effort
- Good progress is being made on containment
- Cause is under investigation
